I remember writing to kilkenny Friary 30 years ago inquiring about a vocation. I remember I could not make the appointment and was asking to reschedule it. The answer I got back was oh this shows you do not have a vocation because breaking the appointment was a sign. The church loves 'signs' almost like superstitions.
